When I saw the color challenge colors I thought about a card I'd had in my mind since the inspiration challenge when I saw these coasters http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/product...-Coaster/58581 I had thought about using an Island Indigo base for the Black Magic Technique. So, when I saw the color challenge colors included two of the colors I'd thought of, I decided to go for it!
I punched my circle then stamped the flower centers in white craft ink and dried them. Then, using my StampAMaJig, I stamped the outsides in Versamark/Indigo. After settling my chalk disaster I used the Razzleberry and Baja Breeze chalks to go over the craft ink areas...forgot that I didn't have pencils to match so I used chalks. I wanted to go for dessert with the color challenge so the bg is Baja Breeze inked onto the Vintage Wallpaper ef then spritzed with some homemade shimmer spray. All the soft images made me think the card needed some contrast so I added some hardware extras.
I went with a birthday card to meet the HYCCT challenge for today to celebrate with the survivors another birthday! How appropriate to be featuring purple which I've learned is the survivor color. May there be many more happy birthdays for all those dealing with cancer in their lives!

Oh wow - that is just beautiful. Love the layout and that amazing black magic. I was sorry to read about your chalks - hope you got them back in order.
