Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for this week is to use Geometric Shapes. Use at least 3 different shapes on your card (for example oval, rectangle, and square base). See all the details Saturday, October 22, 2011 on ODBD's Design Blog and please use the keyword ODBDSLC81 so we can enjoy your creations too!
This week I used Scripture Collection 7. This birthday card is for a friend who is tender to my heart- and faith we share is key to that connection. Scripture sets are my very favorite- because the Word always speaks to the heart, in every situation. The colors were inspired by the background paper. I rarely use this peachy tone, but I really like it. The blooms are made with a peach floral DP from Graphic 45's Baby & Bride Collection. The edges are sponged with Cameo Coral and have cream colored pearls in the centers.
I tucked in a few dark chocolate Cheery Lynn Vines from the Fanciful Flourish die cut and added a few more pearls to the sentiment panel.
I hope you can join this Our Daily Bread Challenge! Thanks for looking.

One of my favorite songs when playing my guitar is based on this very simple Scripture truth, and I was delighted to see it on your card! You know I always love how you use tones of brown on your cards, but goodness gracious, how soft the coral makes it look. Those little blooms and the vines intertwined with the lacey shapes are DELISH, as is the tiny peek of lace, and your lovely stitching.
Just basking in the warm feeling of this - lovely card!!

What a beautiful scripture - I was actualy just thinking about that concept this morning as it is Saturday at 4:00 and I am planning to stamp. I hate to say it, but I was thinking that stamping was getting more of my time than God. I definitely need to fix that. I was also thinking that food was getting way too much attention in my life as well so it is so great that you included food as your bg. Actually that is really funny! Love your sense of humor my sweet friend. Hope your weekend is full of amazing blessings - that is my wish for you (and me). Awesome card. Hugz and LYMI!!!

Oh Pat! This is gorgeous!! I just love your use of the chalkboard paper, the colors and your elegant design with all the shapes and flowers. The recipient is going to love it as I love my Pat originals!!! I need the die or punch I used for these flowers!!
