This is my sample for today's F4A challenge ... to create a card that reflects the character of the person to whom you are giving it ... in this case, this is for my brother-in-law ... a unicycle-riding, bowtie-wearing lawyer. See?
We made these origami shirts way-back-in-the-day for TLC119. Here are the instructions that were posted:
If you want to make a smaller shirt that would fit on a normal sized card, use a piece of designer paper measuring 4¼” x 5 ½”.
Step 1 and 2: fold as directed.
Step 3: Fold back the top edge by ½”.
Step 4: Fold the corners in so that the corners meet at the center fold ½” down from the top folded edge.
Step 5: These folds will make the sleeves. Measure up 1 ½” from the bottom of the paper in the center (where the edges of the paper meet). From that point, make the triangles folding outward as shown.
Step 6: Fold the bottom edge up and wedge it under the collar flaps before creasing it. The front of the shirt from the top of the shoulders to the bottom is approximately 2 ¼”.
Hope this helps!!
Also, here's a link to a photo that shows all the steps. You can make the shirt smaller just by taking off a little bit on each side (just make sure you take the same amount off of each side).

Absolute thoughtful, cute card! Love the print shirt and contrasting bow-tie ... just like in the pic of him! Interesting story about your bil! When I drove my stick shift truck up and down SLC streets (especially up in the hilly Avenues), I could barely keep from rolling. It's obvious that your bil is very skilled at riding his unicycle ... and in the winter yet?!? Wow! Wonder how many he has had in the 30 yrs he has been riding?

What a charming story - what a cool card. Love the shirt print and that bow tie. TFS your BIL's story - he truly is a great inspiration - think of the gas money he's saved! WOW.....and a lawyer at that!

Would you stop that!!! I mean, creating such fab cards with this dp, and makin' me regret not buying it!! : ) This is a seriously wonderful card, Wendy - you know me, I love mixing patterns and dp and just love it all - especially the way you created a shirt, which looks fabulous enough to wear, by the way! It's so dimensional and the ribbon bow tie is amazing!
