I began by creating two masks. I die cut two different sizes of ornaments from the 2011 Heritage Ornament die set from Spellbinders, using Eclipse Masking Tape. You can also use text weight paper to create your masks, but I prefer masking tape because it eliminates the changes of your mask slipping during stamping.
I first laid the larger mask down and repeatedly stamped the fun Nordic star strip that I inked using a spectrum ink pad that has various shades of blue all in one pad. I then removed the mask and placed my smaller mask down and repeated the process using a different strip from the set.

This card is awesome. I totally love it! I would case it in a heartbeat if I had that SB die. The shades of blue are really really pretty and that spectrum pad ink really makes this special. Wonderful job. Into my favs in case I ever do get that die.

Wow, this is beautiful - love the crisp white and blue, and your masked ornaments - thanks for the tip about masking tape, I love masking, and I can see how this would be a huge advantage!
