I know it's asking for trouble to take on a painting by a brilliant painter but since GelaSkins had a Klimt offering on their site http://www.gelaskins.com/gallery/Gus...t/Tree_Of_Life , I figured I'd go for it...it is an inspiration after all and not a recreation. I knew what I wanted to do with this card but is took me several times of trying different papers and inks to get it just right. And that tree trunk started out in another incarnation as painted on with acrylic paint mixed with pearl ex..didn't quite work so I just cut one out free hand from a copper paper. I colored in little bits of the girl as Klimt's paintings are interspersed with color in a mosaic type style.

Love where your inspiration took you...you really captured the feel of the original piece with the awesome swirly tree and the multicolored bits of the cool image you used.
