We are to bring cards with a southwestern flavor this week. Our cards, if we choose, are heading out to Sharon, a gal who is missing her family in Arizona due to surgery.
I based this card, somewhat loosely, on a beadwork pattern found online. I used a Spellbinders pinking border die & ran each square of paper through my Cuttlebug 4 times to get each edge pinked then glued each layer, 13 of them, together. After what seemed like 42,000 passes through that Cuttlebug & 42,000 glue sticks this is the result. Added a stamped & embossed gecko & voila.
Hope you & Sharon will both enjoy this one.

Vicky,
Beautiful pattern - and so much work - wow - but it really is quite lovely - and love the little gecko at the bottom! The colors are lovely in your beautiful design!

This card was a lot of work --- 13 layers! It is so colorful and beautiful and certainly in-keeping with the SW theme of today's TPT challenge. Great card!

Awesome!!! I almost missed this one for the teapot, I was looking for flowers, lol. I love what you did with the spellbinders. Nice looking SW quilt. I like the little green guy. Does he work at Geico? or is he unemployed and just hanging around for some green tea? Very nice card. tfs.

Vicki this is totally cool! Love how you did this pattern. Quick question, with all those 42,000 layers how thick is this? hehe Cute little gecko. Fabulous card! TFS :0)

Wowza! Now who'da thunk you would get such an awesome southwestern look with a cuttlebug and nestie! I love what you did here...lots of work Vicki! Your presistance to make this paid off! It reminds me so much of a Navajo rug.....the gecko is the perfect finishing touch on this totally 100% Arizona card! Even the colors are rich and vibrant! Hee! Lots of people will be making navajo rugs now with the cuddy-buddy! Ha! Sharon will love it!
