A birthday card for a friend from church. I stamped the image (a Penny Black stamp I just HAD to have two years ago and never inked up yet!) with Memento tuxedo black ink, let it dry well, then sponged several different colors...tempting turquoise, groovy guava, pale plum and lavender lace. Used nesties to cut and mat the image and used old SU dp for the background. I added a ribbon and a tiny tag.

Very beautiful card and great job of sponging. Gives me inspiration to try and do the same. I had to smile when you mentioned "having" to have that stamp and then not even using it. I think that happens to all of us! TFS

Oh no, don't say that stamp is harder to use than it looks! I just ordered this week as part of a very late anniversary present from DH, since he still hasn't got what I asked for originally.
Ohhh, your sponged bg is gorgeous!!! Your yippie tag is soooo cute, made me chuckle, and I love how you stamped your image on the tag too - love it!!! Beautiful b-day card!!!
