The Creative Crew ornament challenge was a good chance to do one of those "feather" trees that I've wanted to do for a long time. I had done one with punched paper like this about three years ago but sent it in for a contest and had wanted to create a new one for myself to keep ever since. The old version had some of the beads from the retired Pretties kit threaded onto silver cord and wrapped around the tree. This time, I went for the sticky pearls to keep things current.
I used three differents patterned sheets from the Paisley Petals DSP pack and added a ribbon bow on top.
The punched pieces were pinned in place using silver pins on a styrofoam pyramid base. I used my bone folder to curl the end of the ovals. I thought this would be a super quick project, but I ended up spending over two hours pinning shapes on my tree. So quick if you are just doing one for yourself, but maybe not if you were thinking of doing one for every member of your family... (Or if you were to do that, I would suggest starting ahead of time!)
