 | | Hmmm...I'm afraid I didn't stick too closely to the sketch this week. I just got this stamp and *had* to play with it. At first I thought it would be perfect for the sketch, but I realized that the words on the leaves would be covered up by the circle element in the sketch. So I ended up putting a big bow in the opposite corner and am hoping the sketch goddesses will forgive me. ;)
The leaves were colored using distress ink and a waterbrush. I then used the inks & brush to spatter on color for the background panel behind the image. I used an ink pad direct to paper to create the layers behind both panels and a yellow bic mark it marker to color the pearl in the center of the bow.
Thanks for a fun sketch Roxie! I'm going to work on it again with another image that will allow me to stay closer to the sketch. |
