For today's teapot challenge we were to bring some thing from the poodle skirt era. Now you would think that would be easy for an old girl like me having actually lived and dressed during that time! Took some thinking but I remembered the crinoline petticoats that went under the poodle skirts. One of the ways we made them stiff was to dip the crinoline in jello water Ugh! If you look closely at the bottom of my card is a piece that resembles crinoline.

That's so pretty and dainty.
Jello water?? I can't imagine what that felt like - did it really make them stiff. Must have done, or you wouldn't all have done it.

Marilynn, a blast from the past.....I remember well making those crinoline petticoats stiff, but I never used jello, just sugar water. I do remember that they were very scratchy. I wonder how we didn't get eaten up by ants. Great card, love your pink bg paper.....

Oh, what a lovely card! I didn't have any poodle images either, and didn't really want to go that direction anyway...I just love the soft and feminine feel that your gave this card. The stickles make your teapot look sugar-sweet. I remember crinoline too, but was near the end of that train...pink Easter dresses with Swiss dots had to have those scratchy slips underneath....aaahhhh memories!
