This is another card for Stef's IC today. I needed to make a thank you card for friends who had invited us to an evening of ballroom dancing....with lessons included. It was a lot of fun! I thought Stef's chosen site of CREATURE COMFORTS: DAILY INSPIRATION offered many possibilites for a design.
I chose a photo of poppies that was on the third page. I swiped acrylic paints this way and that.....and wasn't too pleased with my results. I decided to blot it with a Bounty paper towel before I tossed it. Voila!...I liked the pattern the paper towel gave to the paint and looked at the whole thing in a new light. : ) I proceeded to stamp and heat emboss from there.

I can bet it was fun - we've often thought we'd like to do ballroom dancing as an evening class. The paper towel really does add great texture to the paint - I like the look.
(They've re-branded it here for some reason - it's no longer Bounty but Plenty!!)

Oh my gosh Sallie...what a lovely "mistake"...isn't that the way it goes..you think you're going to have to toss something and abracadabra...it turns out to become a masterpiece! I really like the black embossing against this background for your poppies...what a cool card! Great interpretation of your inspiration piece!
