This week's Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge was to make a one-layer card. I took the opportunity to use my new Tim Holtz embossing foler to make a one-layer Halloween card. After inking up the tree with black, I embossed it and then sponged with gray to give a bit of an eerie look. The witch is actually the "watermark" for Mark's Finest Papers new set, Get Your Broom On, and the ghost is from last year's Halloween set Broom Rides. To give a little texture, I drew a "frame" around my little scene.

Lois this is darling. I love that tree. I didn't know there was a matching embossing folder. I have the die. There are so many possibilities for that tree. Your card is as cute as it can be. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Speedy's Friends.

Carol
