I always say to myself, you should use the Cricut for a color challenge. I have the paper samplers for the in colors & I got out my Cricut & the Locker Talk cartridge & voila, I did a color challenge!!
My design is a CASE of these adorable card holders by Croppixie Teacher Gift by croppixie at Splitcoaststampers She has such a fabulous gallery!!
I made 6 of these. Two were back to school cards for my girls (they were tucked in their desks at the open house Tuesday night) and I finished the other four last night, which I am using as thank you notes for the gifts I recieved at my graduation.
The fabulous patterned papers are a part of a huge RAK from my friend Julia (Artystamper)-she is cleaning out her craft room & I'm getting some goodies. It is a good thing, because my patterned paper is barricaded in as I move my office upstairs to free up a second bedroom so my girls can stop sharing.
It was so fun to take a creative break!! The pencil was cut at dial size 2 1/4". I cheated & colored in the tip w/ a sharpie rather than one more cut & glue.

What a fun card, and your card inspired me to use my Cricut next time I'm doing a challenge. I like the paper-pieced pencil and the background papers you used!
