Had lots of fun over in the forums on Sweet 'n Sassy's Release Party last night! Taylor gave us a recipe challenge. We had to use:
2 or more patterned papers-blushing bride dsp and sahara sand dsp with the polka dots colored with bl. bride marker
sentiment- from verve, sponged with pear pizzazz
twine, jute, floss or thread (NO ribbon)- well, this was hard as I LOVE ribbon. Can you see my tiny linen thread bow on the green rickrack over the lace? The rick rack and lace were called trims so...no ribbon!
3 round embellishments- 3 dainty pearls under my sentiment.
I colored the hydrangea with markers using the layered marker technique Karen Barber uses. Flowers in pink pirouette, blushing bride and regal rose, leaves in mellow moss and wild wasabi. I outlined the image with sahara sand, masked and stamped the flower script stamp from Botanicals and sponged the edges with the same.
Thanks for the challenge, TAylor. I really like how this turned out!
