I made this card for this weekÂ’s CAS Challenge. We were to make a project based on THIS sketch from Jen. I wanted to make a one layer card so I masked off a rectangle and stamped and sponged within it. When I was done, I used a straight edge to draw a line on both sides with Copic C0 which makes a little shadow and also makes the stamped panel look almost like a layer. The best news is that I will be giving this to my DH at the end of the month for our Anniversary.
On a personal note, thank you EVERYONE for such a warm welcome to the CAS Fall Design Team. You guys are the BEST!
I have a close-up pic on my blog if you're interested.

Who would guess that this gorgeous creation has only one layer ??- just goes to show you that you don't need to go overboard with the layers to make a card beautiful!! Great job!!

Very pretty one layer card! The base c.s. gives it a rustic feel. I like the flower over the script. Your design and technique makes it appear to be a multi-layer card. Neat!
