This card is similar to one I posted a few weeks ago, but I brightened it up by using Old Olive instead of Chocolate Chip. It uses a wonderful technique developed by Karen Barber, Marker Layering. You can read about it on her blog (August 1, 2011 post).
This card is for today's Technique Lover's Challenge, to use designer paper in a different way than you normally would. I just about never stamp on my ds paper! I'm always afraid I'll ruin it. So I usually stamp my greeting on a separate scrap of cardstock, punch it out, and glue it on. So minimal as this is, it's a real stretch for me!
I really like the SU set, Petite Pairs. Each sentiment for the front of the card comes with another for the inside. This one says, "sending sympathy and prayers". . . "to heal your heart."
Paper: Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, hostess DS pack (retired)
Ink: StazOn black, Old Olive
Accessories: Nestabillities, Old Olive satin ribbon, SU markers (Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzaz, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive), White Gel Pen
