I have several birthday cards to make this month and this is the first. The friend who will be receiving this card can't believe she is going to be 51, so I'm gonna help her. Most people think 50 is a milestone but to each their own.
Anyway, I used a Tattered Angels butterfly and PTI number dies to create the focal point. I got the idea to "fuzz" up the numbers using flocking powder from Lynn Mercurio aka Lynn in St. Louis. Thanks, Lynn!
I covered the butterfly with a thick layer of glue and then Diamond dust. Once dried, I brushed the edges of the butterfly, numbers and the dp with distressing ink.
I glued the numbers onto the butterfly, offset them a bit and popped up the "1" to give the card a bit more dimension.
The sentiment is a stamp from PTI, which I embossed right onto the dp with white embossing powder. I drew a frame around the sentiment with a Sharpie marker.
That's about it. Hope you like. Hope she will, too. TFL!
