This is an embossing plate I made using cricut cut outs and a piece of chip board. I cut out numerous shapes and stacked them one on top of the other and glued them together. I then took the dimensional shapes and glued them to a piece of 5 x 7 chipboard in a pleasing pattern, overlapping the edges and cutting off the excess. I'm really happy with the finishing result and made a card using the embossing plate. I ran it thru my big shot machine. Depending on how thick your dimensions are (I used 110lb glossy to cut out the shapes and stacked them in groups of three) you will have to play with it a bit, maybe using a thin cardboard shim so you get a good impression. VERY easy to make, and you could probably make one to suit your taste. Took me about an hour total to do.

Thanks, I think it works well when you just cannot find the "right thing" and you want something a little different than what everyone has. Plus you have the option of making them larger, which suits me because I prefer to make my cards all 5x7.
And at the end of the day, making this thing cost me pennies!
