This is my card for IC300 which was to be inspired by something on the Pomegranite website. There were SO many things, but I finally chose this because it reminded me of this type of pillow ticking that we had a lot of growing up.
I found this dp that fit the bill and built on that. Flower is Victorine Originals. Butterfly is a Nestabilities cut from already embossed CS. Sentiment is computer generated and the landscape is a technique that my sister - lacyquilter showed me this week. I didn't even have the right stuff, but you put ink on a shiny surface, spritz it with water and press a piece of CS on it. (several times with different colors) This was a leftover scrap that looked like flowers blooming on the hills, so I used it.
What's funny is that this scrap is the only part of it that I have used so far. I like it. How about you?

LOVE that blue ticking DP, Carol. It is a pattern I am very fond of...guess I have memories too! : ) Your card is wonderful with that as the backdrop for your bright red flower and yellow butterfly.

Carol what an awesome work of art! I love where your inspiration took you and what an amazing piece of landscape. It does look like flowers blooming. Outstanding, dear friend.
I think this will be my fav of the day!

Very cool design elements! And yes, I choose the ticking as my #1 inspiration. The "grass" looks like an impressionist painting ... so cool! The red flower is gorgeous! Didn't have time to "play" on Sat. (plans changed), so I hope I can today.
