I was just linking to Roni's post about stamping with Liquid Pearls a few days back, and today's challenge seemed to be a good time to try out out. Hands up, I did sponge the background but only with ink that was already on my sponges, and I didn't stamp with ink - I stamped with my Pearls and coloured with H2Os so I hope that counts...
Because I just used sponges from my box I can't even say what colours I used to sponge the base card and background.
A2 card. For the image panel I streaked some Peacock and Ocean Blue Liquid Pearls onto a scrap of acetate, smooshed them a bit and stamped Flourishes peacock onto white card. After the paint was dry I sponged the background, and then added H2Os to the peacock (the Pearls act as a resist) and added flowers in the grass with White Opal and Buttercup Liquid Pearls. I was only planning to emboss the Labels 8 but I cut by mistake...
I'd have loved to try this technique with Penny Black's Blush which was on my desk, but I'm still waiting for Ranger's to bring out a decent green in Liquid Pearls.
