So thrilled to celebrate Lydia (understandblue) as today's featured stamper. I always love going all the way back to the beginning of a stamper's gallery to see how their style has developed through the years.
I chose this wonderful Birds of a Feather card from November 2007 to inspire my design. I knew whatever I made ... I wanted it to be blue.
This card reminded me of a wonderful hand-carved feather stamp that Gina (Tyggereye) made for me. My stash of masculine birthday cards is depleted, so I thought this would be perfect for a masculine design.
I repeatedly stamped my feather in India Ink on a blue brocade 7Gypsies paper and then sponged with some Milled Lavender Distress Ink before adding a few white highlights. I finished with a white EAD Designs rub-on sentiment and a few blue pearls.

Wow - that's such a unique stamp - and no wonder, it's hand made, love the image and the way you've repeated it across the whole thing - makes a fab masculine card!
