I really really enjoy doing challenges to push myself beyond what I would normally do. I always learn something new when I participate. In this case the challenge was to STACK something. So I choose to stack the delicate dollies. I combined the watercolor background technique (with shimmer paint) with the stacking of the Specialty Paper (Flirtatious) with the center of varied dollies cut out. Topping it all off with a pearl finished it off. I added a few die cut scallops from felt just to add additional texture to the focal point. The watercolor background was done using a C block with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks and water. I just love using the blocks for stamping. The sentiment is from our Word Play stamp set and works for Birthdays and highlights the size of the focal piece.
Enjoy!
