I was working on this card for this week's TLC challenge when the East Coast earthquake occurred Tuesday, August 23. The card is based off of this one Beate uploaded in 2004. I used the same tree image and layout, but I made several changes – I used different colors and a different sentiment, I cut the image panel and its mat with Nestabilities, and instead of twine, I swiped the edge of my ink pad on the cardstock to create the two stripes behind the image panel.
When my 15-year-old and I were chatting about the earthquake, he quipped, "Is that why the tree is crooked?" LOL!
For more chitchat about the creation of this card, you're welcome to read this blog post.
Thanks for looking! Comments are welcome.

That is the one stamp from that set that I find so hard to use - obviously that's just me. The swiping looks great - I actually thought it was another strip with sponged edges till I read your description.
