Today we were to use versa mark. No problem here! I practically use it on every card. I went with a CAS style today, so unlike my norm.......details....
I saw this printed page in the newspaper and thought, hmm this would make a great bg. So I made a copy on cs, heat dried it hoping the ink wouldn't bleed when colored on.
I then stamped the flowers using versamark and clear ep. With reinkers I colored the image and much to my surprise while coloring none of my colors were coming out the colors they actually were. Make sense? I used SU-garden green, which is a bright green, for the leaves and stems. The actual flower parts were done with melon mambo which is a bright pink like color. Mine looks purple.
Liked how it was turning out so went with it. Cut out the image using an oval coluzzle sponging the edges with pumice stone.
Cut out another larger oval, made scor lines all around then sponged with concord crush. Finally a color that looked the right color! hehe
Popped up the smaller oval on top of the larger oval then put on a white card. Also added a little bow that I made with my new bow maker by Joy Crafts. Very cool and easy.
I left this pretty CAS, no extra doodling or sponging on the white card. Another thing so not like me . Must say, this looks pretty good IRL. Hope it looks at least okay here......TFL :0)

This looks lovely - melon mambo, you say? I don't believe it, lol. My favorite part is the newsprint, tho ... Would love to get my hands on that! Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Grin, my guess is the heat-setting didn't totally work and the ink changed your colours, but since I never like Garden Green that much I think what you ended up with is great. On the other hand I quite like Melon Mambo ;-).
And that's some classy newspaper - looks like an elegant script background stamp!
