I had to make this card in shifts - first b/c I had to keep my hand from going numb & second b/c some things had to 'set'.
I used Karen Barber's excellent tutorial on layering markers for coloring. I obviously need some practice & will do this this technique again. In looking at the card I see that the white gel highlights hardly show up, but they are there. I also took a page from Dawn Lusk's book, & did a faux layer w/ a brown sharpie marker.
This is yesterday's awesome sketch and today's 'heat it up' challenge. I heat embossed the flower. There is also some sparkle but I don't think it shows in the photo. I used a dazzle versamark pad on the Rose Red & irredescent paint on the dragonfly. Plus, I did all of this in my hot upstairs stamp room!!
Thanks Karen Barber for a wonderful tutorial.

Karen, your card is beautiful. I'm not familiar with Karen B's technique, but I'll have to look it up since I LOVE your results. I like yesterday's layout on its side too. Pretty colors to go with your floral.

What a lovely card - the image is pretty and colored perfectly. (I'll have to check out Karen's tutorial). I love your BG colors - excellent choice. Your end result is a beautiful and elegant card.

What a great card - love that circle with the dragonfly and I can see the highlights. Love it. I like the idea of making the card in shifts - I need to do that. Only a couple of weeks now before your dr visit! I am thinking of you!
