The challenge was to commemorate national spirit by what your country means to you. I loved Lisa Hensley (aka ponygirl40)'s card for this challenge and took inspiration from her.
When I first looked at this challenge, I thought *patriotic* but I just couldn't come up with the right project; so then I say Lisa's card that had horses and how she is inspired by these majestic animals. I thought: my country, where I live right now--what does it mean to me? Well, I saw lovely landscapes, wonderful friends and summertime activities. Then I thought: our country is known for the amazing art of quilting.
Our designer papers are perfect for quilt cards, as are our embossing folders. Because my card was bigger than the folder, I first embossed one half then embossed the other. Worked like a charm.
Thanks for looking.

Love this designer paper, and love how you did the quilted look. Do you have a pattern or template you used? I would love to make one of these.
TIA
