I haven't stamped in three weeks so I'm feeling a little rusty. Hopefully some challenges will get me back in the groove! I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend who lost her husband suddenly and I thought this painted background trick would make a nice card. The paint has a very, very small touch of glitter glaze in it; I didn't want to go too blingy given the nature of the card. Thanks for the challenge, Lydia.

How sad for your friend - a sudden death is much harder to come to terms with. I'm sure she'll appreciate this, it's really beautiful, with a lovely soft, peaceful feel to it.

What a beautiful card - love that sentiment and the soft colors.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend's husband. I can't imagine losing someone suddenly. : ( You've made a beautiful card and I'm sure it brought her much comfort. I really like that sentiment, too. TFS.

Sorry to hear about your friend's husband. I'm sure this card brought some comfort. I'm looking for ideas for a friend who just lost his mother. I like your lo and just might try something like this. Thanks for sharing and the idea.
