I created this tag using two new sets from Stampendous. I first colored my tag with various distress inks. Then I placed a few granules of instant coffee and water into a spritz bottle and randomly spritzed some of the “coffee color” for a greater distressed look. After a quick shot with the heat gun to dry the coffee, I applied Crackle Paint to the entire tag and let dry.
The crown was stamped and then cut out and attached to the card bowing it up to give the crown more dimension. To embellish my crown, I added a line of beaded chain.
I die cut some great paper from Best Creations, called Travel and attached it to the bottom of my tag. The bottom grid is actually drywall tape. This stuff comes in a ginormous roll and itÂ’s self adhesive which was perfect for what I wanted to do with it. I laid it out on my non-stick craft mat, sticky side up and then sprinkled Aged Copper Embossing Enamel. (I love this stuff. It not only contains copper embossing powder, but a lovely greenish patina color.) After sprinkling on the embossing enamel, I heated it with my heat gun leaving this fun and rustic looking grid. It was easy to gather and attach to the lower edge of my tag.
I covered the rough top edge of the drywall tape with a piece of ribbon, and added a tab from a tea bag that I distressed by wrinkling and adding some distress ink.

This is so lovely. I love the distressed collage look of this tag. I never heard of using coffee! Thanks for sharing that tip..... I love how the crown was popped up.
