I've had these Sizzix gingerbread men for an embarrassing length of time - 7 years if not 8. I always find it hard to know how to use them, but I tried my best for the tea-party today. I was especially pleased with my holly bow tie .
A2 base sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain - love them for card bases! Black glaze pen dots all around.
Background layer is RubberNecker's Striped Background, stamped with ColorBox Pigment Scarlet on white paper, then sponged with Antique Linen and the edges distressed.
I added some Liquid Pearls for icing lines on the gingerbread man. My heart buttons were just the wrong shape to fit in the pre-cut heart apertures, so I backed them with some polka dot paper specially for Cindy. Punched holly leaves and added a red gem for the bow tie, and black half-pearls for the eyes, and then I popped him up on foam.
Computer-generated sentiment stapled round a little candy-cane embellishment; I thought I had two and could work a banner, but that appears to be my last one.

Doesn't it always feel like you've really "accomplished" something when you find a use for something you've had for year? Well done. Love the holly bow tie as well and how you incorporated the candy cane.

Aaack - Sabrina, I love this!!!! What a cute idea to use those polka dot hearts and yes your bow tie is darling and creative and oh so fun! Your little details with the peppermint theme are just delightful too...wonderful card. Funny how we started in just the same place but went into two different directions. Part of the joy of the tea party! So nicely done, my friend!

This little gingerbread man is adorable!! I'm glad that you used him after all these years!! You've dressed him up so nicely, especially that holly bow tie!! Love the cute little polka dotted hearts for buttons and the sweet candy cane!
I can see this challenge inspiring many of us to bake some gingersnaps or other cookies, I just wish there was smell o vision!
