When I lived at Friendship Village I belonged to the Social Club. While we were scheduling activities for the months ahead, I promised to make 45 kits for the seniors to make a card to send to Operation Write Home. If you don't know what that is, it is a site that sends cards to soldiers overseas to send home....so they have something nice to use.
Anyway, before I moved, I told them I would honor my commitment and send 45 card kits for the members to make a card. This is my simple sample card and I'm about half done. Lucky for me, lightening struck and helped me find something simple, yet kinda cute, that the older people could color and put together.
The sets will be sent out next week and arrive in plenty of time for the September meeting.

It's an adorable card and what a wonderful gesture on your part for the seniors. I've never heard of Operation Write Home but I will check it out. Thanks for mentioning it.
