I've missed a couple of ODBD challenges with the busy-ness of summer, but wanted to play along with the current Phrase Inspiration challenge. The phrase to be inspired by was "You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag", but the inspiration could be a single word.
Well, it seemed like a good way to combine it with Betty's Stamping in Time assignment to use something recycled on our cards.
The mosaic panel has been in my use-it-sometime box since May '09 (description HERE.
Flying high are my Basic Grey rub-on kites which I added to fit the challenge - I like how they tie in with the idea of letting our worries go.
The base is also recycled - previously it had been sponged green and stamped with a bamboo in black, which I didn't like. So I wiped all the edges with Encore Gold and added gold EP. By only heating a small portion at a time I was able to emboss the leaf stamp inked up with black ink into it.
Verse is from the Don't Worry set, stamped on white card, cut with Spellbinders Mega Ovals and edged with gold ink and gold EP. Leaf is from Randi's Song. Main panel and sentiment are both popped up on foam, card base is A2.
