Sheesh, talk about being ambitious! This idea popped into my head this morning as soon as I saw I saw Cindy mentioned Knock Knock jokes , but it's taken me 2 1/2 hours to get it onto card. I still think I need to draw a black line round the inside *door* and maybe put centres on the flowers - but the vine was a last minute addition to make the card look more balanced. It would have been much quicker to use one of my hoarded Harlequin images jdmommy sent me .
5 3/4" base, cream card. Positioned under the door I stamped a branch and leaves directly on the card base, then added the QuicKutz owl and sentiment.
Next layer is some printed polka dot paper, edged in black. A door/window is cut in the right position, brad to help open it with, and the second part of the Knock Knock joke. This layer is up on foam.
The door was made from thin card. I drew the outer shape and then drew inside for the frame. Cut around the top and right side, and scored the door with a Scor-Pal. I coloured it with H2Os, then masked it and embossed the frame with Encore Gold and gold EP. I cut a second frame for strength, stuck it on and then embossed the whole back with silver just to tidy it up a bit. I used another brad for the door handle, and also to attach the little sign with the opening phrase of the joke.
The door was then popped on foam. The card looked unbalanced, so I took some leaf trim and stuck it up each side for a vine, adding punched flowers.

Wow! What a great card! 2 1/2 hours to make this card? It probably would have taken me 2 and a half days to make a card like this. LOL. Very well thought out, Jake will love the extra doors to open...very cute.

I am impressed this just took 2 and a half hours. I would think more in the time frame of days! The polka dots and vine of flowers add so much "punch" to your card.

Oh, Sabrina, I think THIS card will give Jake much more joy than a card with a jester on it! : ) A door within a door....how clever and creative. I like your flowering vines on each side of the front door. Truly an outstanding card!
