Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for this week:
Be Inspired by a WORD or the ENTIRE PHRASE "You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag. "You can use a flag, something flying, something high or grand.....
I chose to focus on the word “old”. In thinking back on my grandparent's and parent's love for one another, the kind that did not fade, the “old” kind of love. The kind of love the Father has for us- never ending. I used this because I love what God plants in my heart to read His words.
The verse is from ODBD's Serve the Lord framed using Custom Dies. I sponged a background of clouds using a torn paper towel as a template.
Hope you join us this week. Please take a peek here: ODBD's Design Blog on Saturday, July 16, and use the keyword ODBDSLC68 so we can enjoy your creations too! Make certain you link your card to the blog. Thanks for looking!

Dear card, you are so lovely! Just look at your striking embossing on your bg layer - looks as if you were double embossed and your ridges are so high they would qualify you for the high part of this challenge. Then look at that super scripture you are sporting - inspiring it is! Then Pat made the scripture even more inspiring by including a sweet story about a special love - a mini sermon in fact. Wow! Then to top all that off you are wearing some memorable ribbon and pearls (isn't that from a country music song?). You can tell someone special wanted to make you special....and they accomplished that mission well.

So very pretty Pat! This card literally took my breath away the first time I saw it. And then like a delicious butter cream frosted cake it drew me closer to examine the subtle layers. First of all, the scripture is amazing! And even more powerful knowing the story behind it! The embossing and pearls... Wow! And then that ribbon... Oh my... an overdose of beauty and sweetness... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it my friend! Blessings to you this weekend!
