My Granddaughter asked me to make a Nautical card for her boyfriend's 30th birthday.
This card was a group effort . I had the ideas, but several helped me find what I needed
The anchor stamp is from TAC that Laura was kind enough to order for me. I colored it with Copics R 27- C0-C1-C2-C3 & C5
I used Versamark to stamp the small sailing ship from Gina K's By The Sea on the navy background paper .
I made the life preserver rings using Spellbinder Standard Circles Sm. I used the two smallest ones in the set. I cut 4 circles for each life ring and glued them together and colored the stripes with R27
The frame around the anchor is Spellbinders Labels 2 . I wanted a raised frame and pop dots were not working . I cut 5 labels shapes and glued the stack together
The sailors knots were made from J&P Coats Nylon Crochet thread . Linda provided a tutorial on tying a Sailors knot.
All in all it was a fun card once I revised it a few times LOL

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card and the nice comments. I really appreciate them . The Navy looks much lighter in the picture than it is. It is Gina K' Navy base weight and a rich dark color

Love every detail! The small sailor's knots in the corners are perfection!

Wow this is a great card for men. I really like the way you made the lifesavers. I might be using this idea for my son, who has a sail boat. Always looking for good ideas for cards for men, and this is a super one! TFS
