Today, we got to visit Posh Vintage for the weekly Inspiration Challenge. What a fun place to visit. I found this lovely bracelet, Brown Floral Enamel, that inspired me to make this card.
Well, no matter what angle I put this card, I could not get all the details in the picture...bummer! I'll give you a little description and hope you can imagine what it looks like IRL. The image is a stylized flower that I stamped many times on kraft cardstock, turning the stamp as I went along. I wanted to get a wood look and a sheen to represent the enamel. The outer edge of the petal is colored with a Copic redish brown color, the center of the flower is colored with a red Copic. Then I went over the petals (the brown part included) with H20's Gold Dust. I layered this panel on a gold strip and added the red self-adhesive dot in the centers of the flowers. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold.
When I showed this card to my DH, his comment was that it looked like jewelry - yes! I hadn't even mentioned what inspired me to make the card:)
