Brat Cards (Terri) presented the Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week. She asked us to use something that was not purchased for card making. I just went through some old jewelry and found a pair of earrings that had no stone in one of them. I snipped off the top ring and added a big rhinestone.
This is also for the Queen For The Day Challenge. This week, we are honoring Rox71. Roxie is our Sketch Challenge hostess, and what a talented card maker she is!! ALL of her cards are great. I chose to CASE the card she made exactly one year ago today. It's called "Polka Dots and Camellia". I used a different floral stamp set, embossed the background instead of stamping, and I used my broken earring and rhinestones instead of the brads. Thanks for taking a peek and congrats to Roxie!!!

Great card - love the recycled bling (glad to know I'm not the only one who has 'saved' orphaned earrings to use on cards). Just got this stamp set on Wednesday and hope to introduce it to ink over the weekend. I love what you've done with it.

Oh, Cuz, how beautiful. We must be related - because I had a citrine post earring that lost its mate and I was going to use it - but changed my mind at the last minute. Your card really is gorgeous - love the flowers and the earring!! Awesome.

Fantastic use of something other than card materials, Sis!! You just gave me a great idea - go clean out my jewelry box - LOL LOVE how you clustered those flowers in the corner - and that EF makes a fantastic BG layer!! You got my vote for the most ingenious card . .. LYMI!
