Thanks for the fun challenge today, Joan! I love the faux silk technique, but I didn't have any tissue paper and would never have thought to use a napkin... I punched the folded napkin twice with the Blossom punch to get the petals, stamped them with the blossom stamp, crumpled them up and glued them to the punched cs. I LOVE the blossom punch and stamp set, but I have a REALLY tough time getting the petals to come together! I thought I had this one lined up well, but after I had the petals adhered to the card, I realized that the bottom left petal slipped out of place. AAGGGGHH! Anyway, the flower is spritzed with perfect pearls and water and it glimmers beautifully irl. I'm giving this to my MIL for her birthday, and I don't think she'll mind if the flower is a little less than perfectly shaped, lol!
I also wanted to case this beautiful card of Nancy's, who is Queen for the Day this week; http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1978092. Congrats Nancy, it was a pleasure to browse through your beautiful gallery!!!
Thanks for looking!

Hi, DArla, What a wonderful idea to use a napkin for this card - definitely a beautiful effect here! Those gorgeous swirls stand out so nicely on the newsprint and I love that little charm hanging off the gingham ribbon. A most worthy tribute to our sweet Nancy!!

Darla, this is wonderful. What a great flower and great technique - I tried it once (actually I think it took like 6 tries to get it right). Love the color and the text bg. Thanks so much for casing one of my cards - makes my Monday better (I know it is Tuesday but it is really Monday believe me). Hugz!
