This is a gift box we made at our SU! Make and Take evening using the Mini Milk Carton die and the Top Note die. How cute is this?! Everyone absolutely loved it!
After die cutting the milk carton from Crumb Cake CS we stamped the Sanded BG in Crumb Cake ink and assembled the carton. To make the roof we die cut two Early Espresso Top Note shapes, scored them at the halfway point on the short sides and then we cut them at just over the half way point on the long sides. We glued the two shapes together to form the roof.
When we attached the roof to the carton we applied permanent adhesive to one side only - on the other side we applied a small piece of sellotape to the carton and then applied a couple of glue dots to the roof. This keeps the box closed but means the recipient can open the box without tearing it.
To decorate the birdhouse we used the bird stamp from the Punch Potpourri set, the bird punch and the small flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. The hole was made by gluing on a 1" Basic Black punched circle. We sponged the bird with Marina Mist ink and the wing with Pacific Point ink.
