Another card for today's WT challenge. I really wanted to try this Word Window Slider that Charlene created for the TPT teaparty this week, and thought it would be good for DH's birthday next week.
Only thing I did different from her tutorial was use waxed paper for my sliders because it was handy and I was too lazy to go downstairs and rustle up a bag.
Over here we pay a tax on plastic carrier bags, so with a few exemptions it's heavy-duty recyclable ones or paper bags.
Old - embossing folder, Penny Black stamp
New - the Pyrus papers and brads were a birthday gift.
Image stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured with distress inks and a metallic Twinkling H2O. I trimmed it *out of the box* and layered it up on matching paper embossed with Swiss Dots and swiped with Vintage Photo. Stamped a birthday greeting on the paper and added a brad.
It's layered on a card base sponged with Antique Linen, and after I took the photo I remembered to add Glossy Accents to the little mouse spectacles.

This is really darling. I love that the paper from the typewritter is off the top of the card. The coloring is really great. And you just have to love those sliders. Very cool card.
