I used a lot of different elements on this card and I hope I was able to combine them all together for some "vintage cohesiveness".
I started this card by sewing the edges of the two panels of cardstock then distressing them. After which I added some crocheted lace. I also distress the edges of the cardbase.
The image was stamped onto some soft tan cardstock, then cut out with a square nestie. I colored the image with Tombow markers. I sponged the edges with distressing ink while it was still in the nestie. I made the frames from Spellbinder's "Fleur De Lis Motifs" shapeabilities. I glued on tiny half pearls which I colored with Copics.
The bird's nest was made with twine, a circular disk cut from cardstock and lots of glue. After I got the shape and depth I was happy with I glued in the small plastic eggs.
The chipboard bird was covered in a thick coat of Tim Holtz's crackle paint. The color is called, "Tarnished Brass". I let it dry a few hours then distressed it with Ranger Distressing Ink.
I glued the vintage brad over the flower in the image and added some fine glitter onto the bird because I thought it looked kind of flat.
I gathered together some paper flowers and a metal and bead charm and arranged the flower cluster. The stick pin was tied with a double strand of natural string and topped with a green bow and added. The chipboard bird was glued onto the cluster and the whole card was sprayed with shimmer mist and that's it!
