I made this card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for my daughter's piano teacher. She is an amazing teacher and I love her to bits!!
I first thought I had messed up as my daughter said there was no such note (she is only in Grade two piano) LOL! When I gave her teacher the card she said there actually was such a note (phew!) Regardless, she loved the card and that's what counts.

Yep, it is a dotted eighth note. The dot behind a note adds half the value of the preceding note. So a dotted quarter note is 1 beat plus 1/2 beat. A dotted eighth note is 1/2 beat plus 1/4 beat. Great use of the folder as a background and love your note.

Cute story behind this card! No wonder the teacher loved it - its a wonderful card! Love the embossed music bg and the large note placed on top of the circle & scalloped circle!
