Judy is filling in for Roxie and as soon as I saw the sketch last night I knew I wanted a BIG flower. I went to bed thinking of ways to do it. Today it worked!
I used Spellbinder large scallop nesties for my flower. Since Judy asked that the circle fill most of the panel, I cut my base card down a bit to a 4-1/2 square (a trick I learned from hobbydujour - thanks Sallie). After cutting each nestie I ran them through the cuttlebug w/ the ef to give some texture. Then I assembled the flower. The leaves are from the heart punch & put in the crimper, then cut in half. The little brad is really a matching color & from Making Memories. I bent off the legs & used a SU dementional.
It's a humid, overcast day here in NE Ohio, so I did not get good color. That really is kraft & navy. The brad is kraft w/ red dots.
I really had fun w/ this, thanks for a great sketch Judy.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.
