Saw this tonight when I was shopping with DH for Father's Day: J.C. Penney Dad's Day Ad and had to go home a CASE it.
The Ds are two nestie ovals cut in half--a large one and a small one. The A is a 3 1/2 x 2 inch strip of WW cardstock. I cut from the bottom corner in 1/2 inch on each side to make the *triangle* shape (flat top). Used a square punch to punch out the bottom part. Stamped my {very old} collar and tie stamp and drew in the buttons at the bottom of the tie.
The brown *belt* was Cuttlebugged with the tiny mosaic, but then I ran it through with just the flat plates to flatten it out again--leaving just the pattern there and not as much texture.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
If you don't have a tie stamp, you can easily cut one out freehand and draw in the collar and buttons on your own--or leave them out as they did in the Penney's ad.

I was looking for examples using the traffic jam embossing and found this, just in time for Dad's day. I am going to CASE it! Although I won't get so fancy with my "A" - ties and my dad aren't compatible! LOL But I love the "belt" idea to go with the traffic jam! Thanks for sharing your inspiration!
