This was a sad occasion to create a card. My DH's previous boss and friend died in a tragic accident while on vacation. He was a laid-back guy well-loved by those who worked for him and he leaves behind a wife and young son. The attendees at today's funeral were asked to wear Hawiian aloha shirts so I created an unusual sympathy card that seemed to fit the occasion. To me the empty hammock represents the loss of this man. Anyway, I think his wife will appreciate the thought. You never know if this will inspire someone else searching for just the right idea.

Kathy I think you have made a very nice card for a family who has suffered a loss. I am sure it will be appreciated. Sorry to hear that a good guy has passed on.

That's sad that someone had to die, but it's nice that someone is trying to keep things upbeat with the shirts. Your card is gorgeous - so nice and clean. Sorry for the loss.

What a special sympathy card, Kathy...a special man deserves a unique card. I love the symbolism that you used, it isn't often that a sentiment so personal can be conveyed is such a fitting way. So sorry for your loss, hugz for DH.
