I wanted to create a card with an "Americana" feel to it. I kept getting lost while making this card, and gave up a few times, but for some reason, I just couldn't let it go! I really wanted to finish it. I went through all my stamps to find a sentiment and when I came across this one, I thought it was just perfect!
I think this quote, by Winston Churchill is so very true. I pictured all the men and women who are serving in and out of our country and think of just how much of themselves they give everyday for us! Their courage and strength amazes me...
I hope you all have a safe and beautiful Memorial Day weekend. My family and I are headed to NY for the weekend and I am so looking forward to seeing my family and friends!

Wow, Jenna - what a beauty; well worth persevering with.
I have to admit I smiled, though, to have such an all-American card with a quote from an Englishman ;-). I love all your wonderful details - the lace,and twine, and the pennant.
