IC285 - Anniversary Couple

This is my card for IC285 which was the Spotted Moth website. Can you believe I was inspired on my very first click - the Home Page here

I was inspired by the brick wall with the pictures posted on it.

I started my card with a scrap of something from a CS mat and embossed it with a Sizzix Tim Holtz brick wall. Inked it to make it a bit darker, then added the ribbon, button, rafia and brads. Pictures are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Lost and Found Paper Stack. Sentiment is computer generated.

Can't you just follow the story here. They fell in love when it was wartime. He was shipped out and she waited. He came back. They married and now are great grandparents and are still madly in love. Oh, it brings tears to my eyes and that was only the short version. LOL tfl

What a neat card, Carol...even if they are not your relatives! LOL Love the nostalgic feeling and that button that could have been on a Navy uniform. Great distressing and embossing.
