I finished this lace shawl just in time - baby arrived yesterday, which meant that I could have made a boy card instead of this more gender-neutral one. Having seen a lovely card by pidgesmom with a little duck on it, I was inspired to use this old Penny Black stamp.
The image layer is 4 1/4" x 5 3/4", layered onto some slightly larger card coloured with the new Distress Stains - Vintage Photo.
I made the bunny panel first - stamped the bunny, masked him and stamped the fence. Masked that and sponged the sky and grass, then coloured the bunny and chicken. I used Liquid Pearls to make daisies in the grass.
I then placed the Label on the main image panel so that I could approximately line up the fence to match. Stamped the tree, masked it, stamped the fence. Masked the sun, sponged the sky and grass, then added the sun and coloured the tree and fence. Again I added daisies - note: do this AFTER sewing, because the sewing machine foot didn't like going over them, I'd made them quite bumpy.
I distressed the edges, sponged with Peeled Paint and stitched with blue. Popped the bunny panel up on foam and added pearls.
The sentiment is from an old Provocraft set.
