Congratulations Anne Ryan for becoming our newest Queen # 60. I wouldn't have missed this for the world. I know you are on this awesome brand new adventure called LIFE, but I wanted you to know you are missed and thought of regularly..... Enjoy your reign for you know you are very deserving of this grand honor...
On to my card.... As I went to the inspiration site today I figured I would be doing some type of flower, I came across this glass bead and it reminded me of the colors from Tuesday's color challenge that had defeated me and were still in a pile on the table. Oh that color challenge....... and I did have a pretty flower already colored. Then I went strolling through Anne's fabulous gallery, I came across this sweet card and immediately thought of a bugaboo image that I had. So the challenge was to blend it all together.
The yellow bg was embossed and then flatten out. The melon berry was embossed, rubbed with versamark and then flatten out again.
Catch the bug blog challenge is to use polka dots and stripes.

...and you blended all the challenges together seamlessly, Irene. A truly delightful card! Love the little girl doing the splits and the creative ribbon treatment. Love your idea of "flattening out" an embossed panel to soften "overwhelming texture". TFS

I like those little irregular tabs, and I'm interested to hear how you flattened the paper out again after wiping and embossing it - it's a great look.

What sweet things to say about Anne...all true of course! Sweet image and CASE. It was really nice of your brain to file all of those things away and let you retrieve them when you need them, because you rocked all of those challenges. (thanks for the links too)
