A funny thing happened at the Queen for a Day Challenge. The original, the prototype, the queen bee was never Queen...until now! A great wrong has been righted this week by making our Anne Ryan reigning Queen for a Day.
Anne once counseled me that I would someday find my style, which I find amusing in retrospect. Anne's style is as eclectic as it gets - elegant, humorous, highly ornamented, CAS, bold, subtle, colorful, neutral - in short versatile and varied. So I guess my way to truly honor you Anne is to continue to not settle into a style and keep learning to do all sorts of different things, continue to be kind to others traveling this path and to have fun in the process. That having been said, I CASEd this card from her gallery: To Please ... QFTD48 by Anne Ryan at Splitcoaststampers
I used the same image, only with gold PearlEx
I changed the color scheme to Anne's favorite gold and black
I used origami paper instead of the DP. I loved the way that the crane in the paper and the crane in the image are flying away from one another ;)
My "coin" is stamped, heat embossed then punched.
Congratulations Anne and enjoy your reign. Thank you all so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

As you well know, Asian style cards are right up Annie's alley, so to speak. This was so beautifully done in Anne style. WOW job for sure. TFS :0)
