This card is for todayís Free for all Challenge to make a pocket on your card. The pocket on this card is actually the Sweet Stitches orange panel and the pocket is horizontal and opens sideways to the left. Attached to the pocket is a fabric barrette that was made with Sweet Stitches fabric. The fabric was cut into 6 x1 inch strips. The more frayed the better in my opinion. Then each tail of the strip was folded & glued into itself to form a center and then each different strip was laid on top of another to form the star flower shape. When I got the shape I wanted, I secured it with a sweet stitch fabric brad. Then I took an oversized bobby pin barrette and adhered it to the back of the fabric flower and slid the barrette into the pocket. A card & gift in one! This is a Motherís Day card for my sister.
Thanks for looking!
